If your child requires medication during school hours, the following procedures must be followed:
The school nurse must have on file a written request from a physician indicating frequency and dosage of all medicine. This includes all over the counter medication. (examples include but not limited to: Tylenol, Advil, Ibuprofen, cough syrup).
The school nurse must have on file a written request from the parent to administer the medication, as specified by the family physician.
The medication should be delivered directly to the school nurse by the parent in an appropriately labeled container. Please note this includes all medications, both prescription and non-prescription. The student may not bring the medication on the bus.
