ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

  • One male and one female athlete is chosen to be Athlete of the Week during the regular season of each sports season. Athletes are nominated by their coaches and nominations are based on exceptional performances for the week. Each athletic week begins on Monday.

Athletes who are selected receive a Barker Athletics long sleeve dri-fit shirt, a coupon for a free ice cream from the BCS cafeteria, a chip for a free ice cream sundae from Harris Farms, a coupon for a free slice of pizza from Crosby's, and a gift certificate from The Grain House Eatery and Taphouse.

Pictures of the athletes are posted on displays that can be found in the hallway outside the high school gym, at Harris Farms, Crosby's, and the Grain House Eatery and Taphouse. Barker Athletics appreciates the support of our local businesses, and Mrs. Fuerch in the cafeteria for supporting this weekly recognition. Pictures of the athletes are also posted on the Barker website and the Barker Athletics Twitter account: @BarkerAthletics
