    Girls Track Team Takes Fourth At Maroon Classic Invitational

    CHEEKTOWAGA -- On Saturday the Barker Varsity Girls Track team competed for the first time in the Maroon Classic Invitational at Maryvale High School. The girls finished with a strong fourth place ahead of Cheektowaga, Tonawanda and Dunkirk. Leading the way and capturing second place finishes were Eliza Dewart in the 200 and 400, Savanna Gancasz in the triple jump, and Alexandra Gancasz in the pole vault. Amber Sweeney chipped in with a third place finish in the 3000 meter run.
     
    The girls will be back on the track Tuesday in Albion.
