JV Softball Team Completes Comeback In Medina

    MEDINA -- Wednesday afternoon the JV softball team won 17-13 over the Medina Mustangs. Barker fell behind 10-5 after the third inning, but battled back for the victory. Scoring eight runs in the 5th inning sparked the comeback. The Lady Raiders had 19 base hits, highlighted by Destinee Hillman's homerun. Melissa Grosshans scored three runs for Barker while Abby Heitzenrater, Emily Hollenbaugh, Erika Moeller, Brooke Bodine and Mary Rounds all scored twice.

    Solid defensive play came from Heitzenrater, Rheanne Levy, Grosshans, Kelsey Blackley and Mary Rounds. Moeller picked up the win on the mound after coming into pitch in the fourth
    inning. She struck out four batters and scattered four hits over four innings.
    The Lady Raiders are back in action on Thursday when they play at home against CSAT.
