JV Softball Closes Out Season With Victory At Wilson
May 24, 2011WILSON -- Tuesday afternoon the JV Softball team finished their season with an impressive 14-8 victory over Wilson. The win improved their record to 7-5 in the Niagara Orleans League. A solid pitching performance from Kelsey Blackley and Erika Moeller keyed the victory. Blackley pitched four solid innings with three strikeouts. Moeller pitched the last three innings and recorded five strikeouts. Both pitchers also received solid defensive play behind them. Leading the way on the defensive side was Rheanne Levy, Melissa Grosshans, Emily Hollenbaugh, Abby Heitzenrater, Brooke Targus, Madison Greenwald, Erin Greenwald, Mary Rounds and Megan Costich. Hollenbaugh, Heitzenrater and Levy each had two hits. Destinee Hillman, Costich, Madison Greenwald, Brooke Bodine and Chelsea Stratton each had one hit.
