MIDDLEPORT -- On the first night of the Niagara Orleans League Track Championships at Roy-Hart, the Barker Raiders crowned two league champions. Congratulations go out to Tyler Scheving and Alex Gancasz who won the 800 and pole vault, respectively. Others turning in great performances were Margie Zaepfel - second in the 800, Jamie Pryzybl - third in the 800, Katie Pryzybl - fifth in the 3000, Michael Lantinen - fourth in the 3200, and Sergio Cruz - fifth in the 3200. The boys 1600 meter relay team of Scheving, Ryan Levy, Tony Diez and Jed Platt finished second.
Competition continues on Thursday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 24.
