Pratt Elementary 4th grader, Aiden Moen (pictured with Mr. Carter and Mr. Scott Fumanti) was selected as a winner in the Tops Friendly Markets Black History Month Essay Contest. The contest was open to students in grades 3-5 and required an entry consisting of a paragraph or more describing someone the student looks up to. Entry deadline was February 18th. As part of his winning entry Aiden won a $50 Tops gift card, and the school also was awarded $100 toward it’s Tops in Education program. Tops Public and Media Relations Manager, Kathy Sautter, congratulated the School District for encouraging Pratt Elementary students to participate in opportunities that help them continue to be expressive, to learn, and to grow and thanked the District for participating in the contest.
On Tuesday, March 29th Manager Scott Fumanti from Tops in Newfane visited Pratt Elementary to present Aiden his prize and Mr. Carter the award for the School.
