A book drive took place during March and April to raise money and book donations for the Barker Public Library. The drive, which was sponsored by the National Honor Society, was a huge success as they over $500 along with a countless number of books. The Barker Teachers Union and Barker Senior Citizens were two organizations that led the way with monetary donations through raffles. Mrs. Sara Thibault also donated to the cause her winnings from the BTU 50/50 raffle.
Mrs. Joy Dabill added labels to the inside of the books that were donated by the BTU. Labels were also created to add to books donated by the Barker Senior Citizens.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who either donated or helped in the endeavor.
