OT/PT Students Make Clay Pinch Pots

clay potsThe Barker Central School District Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Departments have been working with Krista Beth Feltz of the Art Department on a clay pot project. All of the students in the PT and OT departments have been making clay pinch pots which will be fired and glazed in the next few weeks. All the pots are now formed and awaiting the next step of the process. They will be on display in the Pratt Elementary lobby display case before the students take them home to their families. Stop by and look at the display which should be up sometime after Easter. "The clay is an excellent medium to build strength, encourage/motivate students to participate and taps their creative spirits," reported Mr. Monaco OTA and Mr. Wenhold PT.
