Digital Design and Photography Class Visits the Buffalo Botanical Gardens

The High School Art Digital Design and Photography class traveled to Buffalo to visit the Botanical Gardens. During the guided tour students learned about the various plant collections and history of the conservatory and were able to photograph both. The tour also included the Butterfly Experience. Everyone was able to step into the Tropical Orchard, home to hundreds of live butterflies which offered a unique opportunity to capture the magic of this special experience with selfies and photos of butterfly species native to the U.S. like swallowtails, monarchs, painted ladies, red admirals, and many more. The tour provided a unique, immersive environment to study natural light, composition, macro photography, and environmental portraits! Leah Witkop shared, “I thought it was a really great and fun experience at the Botanical Gardens. I loved seeing all the plants and butterflies.”
