Mrs. Lingle's Page

Dear Families,
As we enter the holiday season—a time full of excitement, transitions, and big emotions—I’m reminded of how important resilience is for our students. Whether they’re working through a challenging assignment or navigating friendships during this busy time of year, each moment becomes a chance to practice bouncing back and growing stronger.
At school, we support resilience by celebrating effort, teaching calming strategies, and helping students view mistakes as opportunities to learn. We want every child to feel supported and confident, especially during this festive but sometimes hectic season.
How You Can Support Resilience at Home:
- Praise effort: “I love how you’re sticking with it.”
- Model calm problem-solving: Share how you handle holiday stress or surprises.
- Keep routines steady: Consistent sleep and homework habits provide comfort amid the excitement.
- Name feelings: Helping children identify emotions makes them easier to manage.
- Encourage independence: Let kids try solutions before stepping in.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students grow—academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make this holiday season joyful, grounded, and full of learning.
Warmly,
Deborah Lingle
