Monaco Nets 23 In Victory

CHEEKTOWAGA -- On Saturday the Varsity Girls Basketball team won at Cleveland Hill by a score of 55-32. Elise Monaco led the way with 23 points. Monaco also ripped down 10 rebounds.

Charlotte Haag poured in 13, and was helped by Cheyanne Rouse and Hailey Dodge who each scored 7 points. Briley Huwyler, Villette Jary, and Kaylee Stoll also contributing with scoring.

Haag had 9 rebounds and 3 steals, Rouse pulled down 11 rebounds, added 4 assists and had 3 steals. Dodge dished out 6 assists and had 7 steals. Stoll contributed 6 assists and 2 steals. 

Huwyler and Peyton Bradley played good defense and were a presence on the boards as they had 5 rebounds and 3 steals between them.

The Bulldogs will next play on Thursday when they host the Roy-Hart Rams.

Dodge Nets 5 And Swipes 5

NEWFANE -- On Tuesday night, the Varsity Girls Basketball team played at Newfane in a hard-fought game. Elise Monaco had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 4 blocks.

Charlotte Haag scored 6 points and added 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and a block.

Hailey Dodge dropped 5 points and had 5 steals, and Cheyenne Rouse came in with 5 points and 5 rebounds.

Kaylee Stoll, Peyton Bradley, and Briley Huwyler each contributed to the effort.

Kinne Nets 10 With 7 Boards

BARKER -- Monday night the Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Cleveland Hill, 36-29. Leading scorers were Jordyn Kinne with 10, Alina Riches with 8, Hailey Dodge 7, and Elise Monaco added 6.

Monaco had 8 rebounds while Kinne and Riches had 7 each. Kinne and Monaco each had 4 steals along with Dodge and Kaylee Stoll stealing 3 away from the Eagles.

The next game is Friday at Newfane.

Thompson Paces Lady Raiders To First Victory

KENDALL -- The Varsity Girls Basketball picked up their first win of the season after defeating Medina 43-42 in overtime of the consolation game of the Kendall Tournament on Saturday. Alyssa Thompson led the way with 17 points.

Luckman Nets 27 In Win At Medina

MEDINA -- After a slow start and a somewhat close first half the Barker Varsity Girls Basketball team heated up in the second half to take the win over Medina on Thursday night, 44-21. Leading the way was Sydnie Luckman with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Chloe Lee added 7 points and 10 big rebounds. Sarah Outten had 5 points and Natalie Bruning got her first point of the season.

The next game is Saturday against Wilson.

Lady Raiders Win OT Thriller At Roy-Hart

MIDDLEPORT -- The Lady Raiders pulled together for a thrilling 54-50 overtime victory at Roy-Hart on Tuesday with a great team effort. Leading the way for Barker was Sydnie Luckman scoring 21 points and also forcing the game to OT with 0.7 seconds left in the game. Serena Harris showed, once again, how to control the game defensively and also added 12 points on the scoresheet. Dakota Leising helped out with 8, Rachel Parfinski had 5 and Chloe Lee and Kylie Annable both helped out with 4 points each.

Luckman Leads Way For Victory Against Akron
January 23, 2020
BARKER -- Thursday night the Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Akron 36-27. Sydnie Luckman led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Serena Harris had 5 points and Kylie Annable helped shut down the paint with 5 huge blocked shots to help keep Akron from scoring.

Barker plays again Friday night against Holley.
