Dergel Has Solid Performance At All-League

AKRON -- On Thursday evening in Akron the Varsity Boys Swim team competed in the N-O All-League meet. Although no patches were handed out to the team, the boys took 2nd and 3rd's in 9 out of 11 events.
Oscar Dergel took 2nd place in both the 50 and 100 Free. Dergel was also on the 2nd place 200 Free Relay and 3rd place 400 Free Relay.
Seniors Honored

MIDDLEPORT -- The Roy-Hart/Barker Channel Cats hosted Akron on Friday night. Barker seniors Madelina Pavlock and Kaylee Stoll were honored.
Pavlock won the 50 Free, and took 2nd in the 500 Free. Madelina was also on the winning 200 and 400 Free Relay teams.
First year swimmer Kaylee Stoll had her personal best in the 50 Free taking 4th place.
Oscar Dergel won the 50 Free after turning in his best time of the season. Dergel also took 2nd in the 100 Fly.
Sophomore Mirabelle Strong was on the winning 200 Free Relay, won the 100 Breaststroke, and placed 2nd in the 200 IM.
The next meet will be in Medina on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pavlock and Strong Both Take Two Firsts Against Albion

MIDDLEPORT -- The Roy-Hart/Barker Channel Cats swam past the Albion Purples Eagles on Tuesday night. Highlights were:
- Madelina Pavlock - 1st place in 200 Free and 100 Breaststroke.
- Mirabelle Strong - 1st place in 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke.
- Oscar Dergel - 1st in 100 Freestyle and 2nd in 100 Breaststroke and was part of the 1st place 400 Free Relay.
15 best times were had by the team.
The next meet is on Friday, January 16th and it will be Senior Night. Pavlock and Kaylee Stoll will be recognized. The meet start time is 5:00 PM.
Strong & Pavlock Part Of Winning Relay Team

ALBION -- The Varsity Swim team had its first league meet on Thursday night, with 12 swimmers recording personal best times. Overall, the girls' team won 51- 32 and the boys team held the lead until the second-to-last event before falling 30-45.
Sophomore Oscar Dergel won the 200 IM. Mirabelle Strong and Madelina Pavlock were on the winning Medley Relay team. Pavlock also led the 200 Freestyle Relay team to a win.
The next meet is at Roy-Hart on Friday, December 19th at 5:00 against Medina.
