Ecker Scores 8 In Season Finale

BARKER -- The Modified Girls Basketball team closed out a very successful season with a 23-11 victory over the Albion Purple Eagles #2 team. The team outscored the Lady Purple Eagles 16-4 in the second half.

Leading all scorers was Lilah Keleman with 9 points, Lily Ecker had 8 and Maylee Snyder 4. Sayuri Dejesus chipped in with 2.

The Bulldogs closed out the season on a 3 game winning streak, with wins against Wilson and both Albion teams. Barker had a final record of 8-3.

Kelemen Returns To Line-Up In Big Way

ALBION -- On Monday, the Modified Girls Basketball team traveled to Albion for their last road game of the season and came away with a 21-15 win. 

In her first game back, Lilah Kelemen led all scorers with 12 points, 10 rebounds and several blocked shots. Maylee Snyder had 4 points, including 2 important points down the stretch, to keep the game out of reach. Ayla Riches had 3 points and Lily Ecker chipped in with 2. Maddy Carpenter, Sayuri Dejesus and Ariane Watts continue to contribute valuable minutes off the bench.

The Bulldogs last game of the season is home against Albion 2 on Wednesday, December 18th at 4:30 PM.

Haag Nets Game-High 16 In Win Over Rams

MIDDLEPORT -- The Modified Girls Basketball team traveled to Roy-Hart on Monday and came away with a 25-24 win. The Bulldogs and Rams competed in a see-saw affair with several lead changes. The final basket of the game was scored by Charlotte Haag with less than a minute left in the game. Haag finished with a game-high 16 points, and she also pulled down 12 rebounds.

Delaney Johnson had 3 points and played a stellar defensive game with many steals. Ruthie Wrobel had 4 points and 10 rebounds. Lily Ecker chipped in with 2 points. Ayla Riches, Maddy Carpenter, Ariane Watts and Sayuri Dejesus played valuable minutes off the bench and continue to contribute in a positive way.

Barker will travel to Newfane on Friday, December 6th to take on the Panthers at 4:30 PM.

Johnson’s Free Throw Helps Bulldogs Secure Victory

BARKER -- The Modified Girls Basketball team came away with a hard fought 16-10 win on Monday night at home against a scrappy Newfane Panthers team. The Bulldogs outscored Newfane 14-4 in the second half. Lilah Kelemen led all scorers with 6 points and 9 rebounds and was followed closely by Ruthie Wrobel with 5 points. Delaney Johnson added 3 points, including a critical free throw down the stretch to seal the win. Charlotte Haag chipped in with 2 points and 7 rebounds.

Ayla Riches, Ariane Watts, Sayuri Dejesus ,Maddy Carpenter and Maylee Snyder all played valuable minutes off the bench. 

The next game is at Roy-Hart on Monday, December 2nd at 4:30 PM.

Wrobel Hits For Double Digits At Albion

ALBION -- The Modified Girls Basketball team continued their winning ways with a 26-12 win on the road over the Albion Purple Eagles #2 team. 

Ruthie Wrobel led all scorers with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Wrobel was followed closely by Charlotte Haag with 8 points. Delaney Johnson, Lilly Ecker, Lilah Kelemen and Madelene Carpenter all chipped in with 2. 

Ayla Riches, Ariane Watts, Maylee Snyder and Sayuri Dejesus all played solid defense, holding the Purple Eagles to just 4 points in the first half.

The Bulldogs next game is at home against Newfane on Monday, November 25th. Game time is 4:30 PM.

Kelemen Registers Double-Double In Win Over Albion

BARKER -- The Modified Girls Basketball team made it 2 in a row with a 21-16 win against the visiting Albion Purple Eagles.  

Leading the way with her first career double-double was Lilah Kelemen, Kelemen finished with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Ruthie Wrobel had 6 points and 5 rebounds and Ayla Riches chipped with 2 points. Delaney Johnson was solid on defense with 8 steals.

The Bulldogs next travel to Albion to face the other Albion team at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, November 20th.

Ecker Helps Lead Bulldogs To Victory At Medina
November 14, 2024
MEDINA -- On Thursday, the Modified Girls Basketball team got into the win column in a big way with a 34-7 win over the Medina Lady Mustangs. The Bulldogs started strong and never looked back. The team took a 16-2 lead by halftime.

Lily Ecker, along with Charlotte Haag and Ruthie Wrobel led all scorers with 8 points apiece. Delaney Johnson added 4 points, while Ayla Riches, Lilah Kelemen and Madelene Carpenter each chipped in with 2. Wrobel also led the way with 12 rebounds and Johnson with 7 steals and 7 assists.

Ariane Watts and Sayuri Dejesus continued to play valuable minutes off the bench. 

Barker will next face the Albion Purple Eagles at home on Monday, November 18th. Game time is 4:30 PM.

Kelemen Scores 8 In Season Opener

BARKER -- The Modified Girls Basketball team opened their season with a tough 18-16 loss against a strong Akron team. Leading the way for the Lady Bulldogs with 8 points and multiple rebounds was Lilah Keleman. Lily Ecker and Ruthie Wrobel each had 3 and Charlotte Haag chipped in with 2.

Ayla Riches, Delaney Johnson, and Madelene Carpenter all had strong defensive performances. Ariane Watts and Sayuri Dejesus played some key minutes off the bench.

Next, the Bulldogs travel to Medina on Thursday, November 14th for an early season matchup with the Mustangs. Game time is 4:30 PM.
