JV Lady Raiders Even Record In Season Finale

BARKER -- The JV Lady Raiders Basketball team concluded their season on Thursday night with a hard fought 40-37 victory over visiting Albion. Gabby Clare paced Barker with 13 points while Melissa Grosshans and Maicie Baker chipped in with eight and six points respectfully.

The Lady Raiders finished the season with an overall record of 9-9.
 
Blackley Leads JV Scoring On Valentine's Day

MIDDLEPORT -- The JV Lady Raiders Basketball team earned a hard fought, come from behind victory over Roy-Hart on Tuesday night. Leading the way for the Barker was Kelsey Blackley with 11 points while Melissa Grosshans and Maicie Baker both chipped in with nine. Defensively, Gabby Clare and Bria Holliday both had strong games.
 
JV Girls Basketball Team Drops Hard Fought Game To Wilson

BARKER -- The JV Lady Raiders dropped a hard fought 40-37 decision to Wilson on Friday night. Leading the way for the Barker was Gabby Clare with 14 points while Melissa Grosshans and Kelsey Blackley chipped in with 10 and 7 points respectively. Alex Verost and Kelsi Flegal also played a strong defensive game.

BARKER -- The JV Lady Raiders Basketball team moved to 6-4 on the season with a 29-23 victory over the Roy-Hart Rams on Friday night. Leading the way for the Raiders was Melissa Grosshans and Gabby Clare with 10 and eight points respectively. Barker is back in action Tuesday at 5:30 in Albion.

Mason Leads Way For JV Girls

BARKER -- The JV Lady Raiders basketball team defeated the Akron tigers Tuesday evening 36-31. Leading the way for the Raiders offensively were Caitlyn Mason with nine points and Maicie Baker with eight points. Defensively, Gabby Clare and Melissa Grosshans both had strong games. The girls are back in action on Friday at home against Roy-Hart. Game time is 5:00.

JV Lady Raiders Retain Crown In Roy-Hart Tournament
December 28 & 29, 2011
MIDDLEPORT -- The JV Lady Raiders Basketball team successfully defended their crown at the Roy-Hart tournament over winter break. Barker defeated CSAT in the first game 39-28 and won the championship game with a narrow 34-33 victory over Cleveland Hill. Caitlyn Mason led the offense with eight points in each game while Bria Holliday and Maicie Baker chipped in with a total of 14 points each for the tournament.

Defensively, Gabby Clare and Melissa Grosshans both had strong tournament performances. The girls are back in action on Tuesday, January 3 at Wilson at 5:00 PM.
