Tennis Team Stakes Claim To N-O League Title

BARKER -- For only the second time ever, and first time since 2009, the Barker Tennis team is Co-Champion of the Niagara-Orleans league with an 11-1 record.
Leading the way with an undefeated record of 12-0 was N-O League Player of the Year Daniel Goodwin.
Goodwin is the first Barker Tennis player to finish a year undefeated at 1st singles and he is also the only Barker player to go to the Section VI Individual Tennis Sectionals for 4 consecutive years.
Barker defeated Roy-Hart to secure the Championship by a score of 4-1 and in addition to Goodwin at Singles, winning for Barker at Doubles were the teams of Oscar Dergel/Luke Fay, Nick Heidemann/Aurora Wass and Aaden Munn/Matthew Meza Ray.
Matthew Jordan took the undefeated 2nd Singles player from Roy-Hart to a 3rd set Super Tiebreaker but lost 11-9 in a hard-fought battle.
Tennis Improves to 10-1 In N-O League

NEWFANE -- The Barker Tennis team improved their record to 10-1 with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Newfane. Winning for Barker was Daniel Goodwin, whose league record this year now stands at 11-0.
Winning at doubles were the teams of Oscar Dergel/Luke Fay and Nick Heidemann/Aurora Wass.
Matthew Jordan at singles and the doubles team of Riley Marciszewski/Cherish Potter played solid matches, but came up just short.
Jordan Picks Up Win Versus Akron

BARKER -- Barker Tennis, with a convincing victory over Akron, improved to 9-1 on the season.
Running his record to 10-0 was Daniel Goodwin. Also winning at singles was Matthew Jordan.
The doubles teams of Oscar Dergel/Luke Fay and Nick Heidemann/Aurora Wass also picked up victories for the Bulldogs.
Playing well but just falling short in a 3rd set tiebreaker were Matthew Meza Ray and Riley Marciszewski.
Tennis Team Grabs Share Of 1st Place

BARKER -- Thursday afternoon, the Barker Tennis team avenged an early season loss to Wilson to pull out a 3-2 victory. Clinching the victory, and a share of 1st place overall, in a close fought 3 set win was the doubles team of Oscar Dergel/Lucas Nestoros.
Daniel Goodwin improved his record to 8-0 for the year and the team of Nick Heidemann/Aurora Wass won again to set their season record at 7-1.
Fay & Munn Pick Up Doubles Victory At Medina

MEDINA -- Barker tennis improved their record to 6 and 1 on the season with a 4 to 1 victory over Medina.
Winning at singles was Daniel Goodwin, improving his record to 7 and zero on the year.
Winning at doubles were the teams of Oscar Dergel/Lucas Nestoros, Luke Fay/Aaden Munn, and Nick Heidemann/Aurora Wass.

MIDDLEPORT -- Barker Tennis improved its record to 5-1 with a road victory over Roy-Hart Saturday morning. Winning at singles was Daniel Goodwin who clinched the Niagara-Orleans League Singles Champion and the #1 N-O League singles spot for the upcoming Section VI Tennis tournament.

AKRON --On Tuesday night Barker Tennis improved to 4-1 on the season with a hard fought 5-0 victory over Akron.
Winning at singles were Matthew Jordan and Daniel Goodwin, who improved his record to 5-0 on the season.

BARKER -- Improving to 2-1, Barker shutout defending champion Albion 5-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League Tennis match on Wednesday night.
Daniel Goodwin and Matthew Jordan scored singles wins for Barker.
Doubles teams victories were also registered by Oscar Dergel/Lucas Nestoros, Aurora Wass/Nick Heidemann, and Luke Fay/Aaden Munn.
